EVA is an elastomer that is used to produce materials that look "springy" because of their softness and flexibility. Vinyl acetate content determines the level of elasticity. It also has good transparency and gloss and is resistant to low temperatures for stress cracking and UV radiation. EVA has a distinctive smell of vinegar (acetic acid) and competes with rubber products, and with certain polymers in many electrical applications.
Application:
Flexible shrink packs, footwear insoles, hot melt adhesives and heat seals, flexible toys, tubes, wire coatings, medical gloves, masks, baby dolls, bottle pacifiers, and etc.
