Specification of Texapon N70 natrium laureth sulfat
Texapon N70 is sodium laureth sulfate which is usually used in medium viscosity and pearlescent shampoo, medium to high, and detergent products. High active Texapon ether sulphate is produced from special mid-cut fatty alcohols containing an average of 2 moles of ethylene oxide with maximum control of unwanted by-products, including those which cause color and odor.
70% SLES is prepared by dodecyl alcohol ethoxylation. The resulting ethoxylate is converted to half the sulfuric acid ester, which is neutralized by conversion to sodium salt. Related sodium lauryl sulfate surfactants (also known as sodium dodecyl sulfate or SDS) are produced in the same way, but without ethoxylation steps. SLES and ammonium lauryl sulfate (ALS) are alternatives commonly used for SLES in consumer products.
