Stearic acid is a saturated fatty acid processed by oil palm fruit which has various benefits, including as an additional composition in food, cosmetics and wax raw materials.
Stearic acid is widely used in the candle making industry, to harden and increase the durability and consistency of flame candles. Candles made using stearic acid have good quality, because they have a smooth but hard texture. Stearic acid is also used in the production of soap and cosmetics because it is easily soluble in water. Also useful for hardening soap, and giving pearl white. Another advantage of Stearic acid is that it is able to bind and help the thickening process of various cosmetic products, which make cosmetics feel soft when in contact with the skin, and make cosmetics stick to human skin even if used for a long time.
