One of the ingredients that can be eaten is STTP or STPP. Unlike borax which is prohibited from being used for food, this STPP is indeed used for food. STPP that we know is commonly used as meatball pengenyal, but actually STTP is used as a seafood preservative, meat and other animal meat, or in the food industry has another name and code E number E451. In food, STTP is also used as an emulsifier.
Softener is used in detergent, because of the presence of TPP5 ions - as chelating agents which can chelate Mg2 + and Ca2 + in hard water. Other activities include the ceramics industry, the fabric industry, anti-corrosion pigments, anti-caking and also in the pharmaceutical industry.
