Propylene Glycol is a synthetic organic compound with the chemical formula C3H8O2. This is a thick colored liquid that is almost odorless but has a slight sweetness. Chemically classified as diol and can be mixed with various solvents including water, acetone and chloroform. It is used in the production of polymers, also used in food production, as process fluids in applications of heat exchange with low temperatures.
