DIGLYCOLAMINE (DGA) is a versatile amine that can be reacted with fatty acids to form amides and amine salts for foam-boosting surfactants, stabilizers, detergents, and emulsifying and wetting agents in shampoos, metalworking, paper treating and textile operations. It is used in gas treating as an amine solvent for the bulk removal of hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide and carbonyl sulphide. It is also a key component in paint, photoresist for electronic circuit boards, corrosion inhibitors, cutting fluids, amides and other applications where primary amines are useful.
